Getting Started

Thank you for choosing Hydrogen! Our API makes it easy to integrate with our products and start building your own financial applications.

⚙️Integration Process

Step 1. Create an account

To get started with the Hydrogen API, developers need to create an account on the Hydrogen Pay platform. You can sign up for free at Create your Hydrogen Account.

Once registered, developers will gain access to the merchant portal. They can log in to their account to view and manage their API keys, and they can toggle between the Test and Live environments. This feature allows developers to seamlessly switch between environments as needed for testing and production purposes.

Upon creating an account, developers can start testing payment operations such as creating virtual accounts, payment gateway and initiating fund transfers through the available endpoints. The integration can also be configured to meet specific business needs.

Step 2. Test APIs

After creating an account and obtaining the necessary credentials, developers can select from the list of available integrations and test them to determine which best suits their needs.

The Hydrogen API supports a wide range of payment processing operations, and developers can use their Test API keys to simulate payment scenarios and test endpoints and become familiar with the API's functionality.

Step 3. Access API Keys

Once developers are satisfied with their testing experience and ready to move to production, they must complete onboarding and be approved on the KYB portal. After approval, developers will automatically have access to their Live API keys within the merchant portal.

In the portal, developers can toggle between the Test and Live environments to view and manage their respective API keys. These keys authenticate requests to the Hydrogen API.

Step 4. Production integration

With access to their Live API keys, developers can integrate the Hydrogen API into their applications or systems. Integration involves making API calls using standard HTTP methods such as POST and GET to the LIVE endpoints and handling responses from the API.

Successfully integrating the Hydrogen API allows developers to offer their customers a seamless payment experience. This includes accepting payments via virtual accounts or card payments, tracking transactions, and receiving real-time notifications, all backed by Hydrogen's robust security and reliability.

Step 5. Live test and Go LIVE!

Before officially going live, it's recommended to perform an additional transaction or general API test in the production environment. This helps ensure everything functions correctly and identifies any critical issues that need fixing before launching.
